Air dry in a single layer, image or dull-side up (for negatives) on absorbent or screen materials. Do not sun dry. “Quick-rinse” muddy items in a bucket of cool, cleanest available water. WebDo not take any of the advice to freeze and/or boil one or both. Drastic temperature changes on glass will cause it to shatter. WD40 might do the trick, but I would recommend a penetrating oil, like PB Blaster. Also, try to separate with a spinning motion, like you are trying to unscrew one from the other.
