WebJul 17, 2011 · After checking out some suspension components today I noticed some grease was being flung from the inner cv boot on the right front. I inspected the rubber boot and there are no cracks or tears in the boot itself. All of the grease seems to be coming from the back side of the boot behind where it is held on by the one time use clamp.

It appears tight (its not falling off) but there is definitely grease leaking from under the boot. There are aftermarket (read: Valvoline, Castrol, etc) greases that can be used in the inner and outer cv joint.
